The Downes Studio 4th Annual Art Show at The Grove's Redfield Center Four day show featuring paintings, tapestries, bronzes and prints. Mr. Downes will be present all four days. The Grove's Redfield Center is a National Historic Landmark setting on 123 wooded acres. Mr. Downes donates a portion of all proceeds to the Grove's preservation. Tied to the Past III A solo show at the Lake County Discovery Museum Wauconda, IL - Public Welcome Special Event of the show will be the unveiling of the 16 foot sculpture of the Indian Trail Marker Tree done by Dennis M. Downes. Media will be present. Please feel free to bring friends and relatives as the completion of this statue is the result of over twenty years of study and field research by the Artist and will help bring to life the visual concept of the Trail Marker Trees. Additionally over twenty original paintings and tapestries will be in display in the main room of the museum. Prints will also be available. The show runs through May 30, 2004; the artist will be present at the reception. Art of Caring Lake Forest, IL Exmoor Country Club Mr. Downes is donating an original painting in the hand carved and inlaid frame. This fund raiser is sponsored by the Women's Board of Catholic Charities Lake County Services. This group has dedicated themselves to real needs, emergency assistance, food and shelter for those who truly need it. 91% of every dollar donated goes directly to the programs.
